Efficient, high-quality scanning for loose photos—from a favorite handful to a full shoebox.
Sorting photos into labeled groups before drop-off saves preparation time, lowers your cost, and helps us preserve the order that matters to you.
Scrapbooks and oversized keepsakes are scanned one page at a time. When possible, pages in ring binders may be carefully removed for a clearer, more complete scan, then returned in order.
Professional Kodak photo-scanning equipment handles everyday prints, while a flatbed scanner protects fragile, mounted, or oversized originals.
Choose standard or higher-resolution scanning based on how you plan to use your photos—from everyday sharing to future reprints.
Available tools can improve color, contrast, brightness, rotation, and red-eye. Every image can be reviewed and rescanned when needed. This is enhancement, not full photo restoration.
Whenever possible, separate photos into the groups you want—such as family, year, event, album, or box—and add a simple label or note.
Arrange a convenient local drop-off. If you are not comfortable letting your photos leave home, ask about an in-home scanning appointment and custom estimate.
Receive easy-to-view JPEG files in clearly named folders, ready to save, copy, and share with family.
Your finished JPEG photos are organized into clearly named folders and placed on a new USB drive, ready to view, copy, and share with family.
A friendly backup reminder: We recommend keeping your photos in at least two separate places. Add a second USB copy, or save another copy to your computer or trusted cloud storage.
A new, labeled drive is provided for most collections. If your finished files require more space, we’ll confirm the larger drive and cost with you first.
A convenient extra copy for added peace of mind or for sharing with another family member.
Label your groups before scanning and we’ll carry that organization into the digital files—such as family, year, event, album, or individual photo box.
Forever Kept Photos keeps a backup for 30 days after delivery, then permanently deletes it. After receiving your files, you are responsible for keeping your own additional copies.
Higher is not always better. Extra resolution is useful when you plan to enlarge or crop a photo. For most regular prints, 300 or 600 DPI captures what you need without creating unnecessarily large files.
Choose Keepsake instead if you may crop the image or make a noticeably larger print.
This is the practical high-quality choice for most treasured 4×6 and 5×7 prints.
Usually unnecessary for normal 4×6 prints. It takes longer and creates a much larger file, but cannot reveal detail that is not present in the original.
Still unsure? You can mix quality levels in one order—for example, Everyday for most of the box and Keepsake or Archive for a small group of special photos.
Help me chooseUnsorted-photo preparation adds $0.10 per photo. Scrapbooks, fragile photos, and oversized items receive a custom estimate. Large collections and referrals may qualify for discounts.
